ABA Parent Groups
Discuss Autism and ABA Therapy in a Safe, Family-Focused Setting
What are ABA Parent Groups?
ABA Parent Groups are weekly in-person or online gatherings for parents with children receiving autism therapy services from Applied ABC. ABA Parent Groups typically last one to two hours and bring like-minded parents and experienced ABA therapists together to inspire growth, learning, and a sense of community.
What are the Benefits of ABA Parent Groups?
ABA Parent Groups offer a relaxed, social environment to learn about ABA therapy and how autism affects your child’s day-to-day life, both in and outside of the home.
Participating in an ABA Parent Group also helps you better understand the ABA therapy techniques that caregivers use during treatment. These techniques include Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching to name a few. You’ll also learn about community-based autism therapy initiatives like in-person Social Skills Groups, SSG Home With Me, and autism therapy centers located near you.
Weekly ABA Parent Groups also provide a safe place to ask BCBAs questions related to autism, ABA therapy, or any other related topic in a judgement-free environment.
