Where do you call home?

My current home is in the “Sunshine” state of Florida, specifically the Tampa Bay Area. I’ve moved around my whole life. However, the place I will forever call home is New Orleans, Louisiana. Both locations have different things to offer, but the one thing they have in common is the diverse food options.

How many years have you worked in the ABA field?

I’ve worked in the field of ABA for almost four years now. I originally wanted to become a Speech Language Pathologist, so I received my undergraduate in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I found myself interested in the field of ABA when looking for graduate programs to further my studies. I read about a program at Ball State, took a chance, and ultimately received my Masters in ABA. I am currently obtaining hours toward my licensure to become a BCBA and hope to accomplish that by 2024.

How did you end up working for Applied ABC?

I ended up working for Applied ABC when I was looking for other opportunities through the organization I was in. I ended up speaking to an amazing Case Worker, and she gave me the opportunity to research the company to see if it would be a good fit. She promised me that she would assist me every step of the way. I eventually was hired by Applied ABC, and it has been a great experience since I’ve been here!

What’s the most fulfilling part of your work?

The most fulfilling part of my work is the connection we create with the children we work with. As we work toward achieving goals in our treatment plans, we develop a bond with our kiddos that creates a healthy environment for learning. Those are the moments that are driving me to become a BCBA so I can have more of a positive impact on their progression.

How do you unwind after a long day?

Unwinding for me consists of watching sports with my friends and family, I truly value quality time with them. When I’m not doing that, I’m typically lying in bed going down a YouTube wormhole.

What are some interesting facts about you?
