Employee Spotlight: Shannon Burley, RBT

Where do you call home?  

I’m from Fort Washington, Maryland.  

How many years have you worked in the ABA field?  

I have been working in the ABA field for four years now.  

How did you end up working for Applied ABC?  

I applied after taking a short break from the field. I wanted to try a new agency and see what kind of difference they made for children with autism.  

What’s the most fulfilling part of your work?  

I really enjoy helping my clients learn new skills and lowering the mental load for the parents.  

How do you unwind after a long day?  

I engage in self-care and make sure I treat myself by eating one thing I really enjoy each day! 

What are some interesting facts about you?  

Some interesting facts about me start with the fact that I just started Mary Baldwin’s ABA master’s program. I am also a dog mom and love spending time with my furry friend. My family is from the Bahamas. I have visited four times and can’t wait to visit again!
