10 Years of ABA Therapy Services With Applied ABC
To celebrate 10 years in business, we’ll be looking back at 10 key moments, exciting events, and major changes throughout our time in the ABA space.
We Started Our Business
In 2014, Applied ABC was founded in New York with the mission to help children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders on their personal life journeys. This was done through ABA therapy services that were originally focused solely on home-based care.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company shifted to telehealth to keep clients and parents safe. As time passed, therapists returned to in-home ABA therapy. Home-based care expanded to 25 states, and then we began providing center-based care and school-based services.
We Opened Our First ABA Therapy Center
In April 2022, we officially opened the doors to our first in-person ABA therapy center in Manchester, NH. Governor Chris Sununu and former Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig gave speeches, toured our therapy center, and met some children receiving ABA.
This was a significant shift in how we could help children with autism who had to rely solely on home-based and telehealth services during the COVID-19 pandemic. ABA therapy centers are designed specifically with treatment in mind and offer additional benefits, like access to group activities and ABA materials/resources.

We Built ABA Therapy Centers in Georgia, Maryland, and New York
Upon seeing the positive outcomes that our in-person ABA therapy was providing, we decided to expand into Georgia, Maryland, and New York. We continue to offer home-based care in these states for families that do not live in the service area range.

We Sponsored a Baseball Game
In July 2022, Applied ABC sponsored a Manchester NH, Fisher Cats game to spread awareness about ABA therapy and let families know that there are both in-home and in-center treatment options in Manchester, NH.
Despite the hot weather and chance of thunderstorms, everyone who attended had a great time, and we even gave away a signed baseball at the game and another on social media.
We Participated in The GA Race for Autism for Two Years
We set up a table and had some of our wonderful ABA therapists participate in the Georgia Race for Autism. While the race was certainly the main event, there were plenty of other things to do, including runs/walks, tot-trots, and 100-yard dashes.
Both times we attended, we provided attendees with a popular scavenger hunt. There was also face painting, petting zoos, and more.
This event was a great opportunity to meet more members of our community in Georgia and provide informational resources for families in need and people looking for a new career path in ABA therapy.
We Provided Our ABA Therapists with an End-to-End Digital Therapy Solution
We realized that paper records can only go so far. To better equip our therapists during ABA therapy, we provided them with ATrack, a digital therapy solution that simplifies ABA treatment planning and therapy session data collection, leading to increased profitability and operational health.
Now, ABA therapists at Applied ABC use ATrack to help them along every step of the ABA journey.
We Hosted a Digital Provider Summit
This online event took place in March 2023 and had four of our talented Applied ABC clinicians providing virtual presentations on topics centered on ABA. Topics ranged from building rapport with clients to successfully supervising an RBT.
After the event, we conducted a poll and found that:
89% of those who attended felt they were satisfied with the outcome and information
100% of those who attended felt the presentations fit the overall theme of delivering family-centered services
100% of those who attended felt that it was a good use of their time and that they learned something valuable

We Participated in Autism Awareness Month
In April 2022, we put together a blog series that took the reader on a journey from early childhood to adulthood. On this journey, we focused on several topics, from how to start ABA therapy to ways on supporting families through community building.
Last year, we did things a little differently – a focused social campaign and a special community-based event. The social campaign was four weeks long, and each week had a different theme. These included: highlighting our Stories of Hope initiative, focusing on different businesses that either hire or are owned by people on the spectrum, and our Eight Signs of Autism infographic.
The second half of our autism awareness month celebration for 2023 was our Field Day at the Fisher Cats Stadium. This free event invited the Manchester, NH community to a day of fun, ABA-inspired activities inside the NH Fisher Cats stadium.
We Started Providing School-Based Services
Whether it’s offering a helping hand to an individual student or providing professional development training to special education teachers, we realized that we had the resources and staff needed to assist school districts throughout the country with special education services.
Some of the areas that we help school districts, include:
Building personalized programs for Special Education students
Providing classroom personnel when needed, like special education teachers, in-school Behavioral Therapists, BCBAs, and more
Conducting/participating in professional development training for special education staff
Helping with planning coordinated by a BCBA
Creating program and training materials
We Offered a Free Pathway to Earn an RBT Certification
In many parts of the country, becoming an ABA therapist requires an RBT certification. Because we offer ABA therapy services in 25 states, many of which require this certification, we created the Earn Your RBT program, where ABA therapists in select states have the chance to get their RBT certification completely free and in less than two months.
This program led to many talented therapists joining not only our company but also the ABA field, where quality help is always beneficial.
Looking Toward the Future
As we look toward the future, we continue to strive toward our mission and find more ways to contribute to the autism community and provide ABA therapy services to those in need.
